Augentes is participating to the CDC – START 4.0 project

 

Augentes is participating to the “Security and optimization of strategic infrastructures 4.0” Competency Center, project coordinated by CNR, with the involvement of IIT, the Liguria Region, the Port System Authorities, Unioncamere and the Confindustria Digital Innovation Hub, with the collaboration of RINA and the participation of Ansaldo Energia, Ansaldo STS, ABB, Cetena, IREN, Leonardo, Softeco and several SMEs. START 4.0 is among the 8 Competence Centers that have been selected by the Ministry of Economic Development to obtain funding in the context of Industry 4.0.

The project to which the University of Genoa collaborates, has been approved together with other centers that are located in highly competitive areas of the country. The center, in our Region, has a strategic value to support the economic revamp that must go through the development and use of the new Industry 4.0 technologies.
The “Strategic Infrastructure Security and Optimization 4.0 – START4.0” Competence Center will focus its activity on the application of Industry 4.0 enabling technologies (IoT, blockchain, big data, etc.) in the field of security (security, safety and cyber security) on the application domains of the port, the transport, energy and water infrastructure and the production system.

Summit of the Two Shores

 

In June 24th 2019 in Marseille (France), the Summit of the Two Shores took place. It has been attended by French President Emmanuel Macron and by the Foreign Ministers of Algeria, France, Italy, Libya, Malta, Morocco, Mauritanian, Portugal, Spain and Tunisia, to discuss the cooperation between the countries of the two shores through very delicate and crucial topics, as the circular economy, food, energy, education, mobility, work & youth and entrepreneurship.

Various entities were represented such as the European Union, Union for the Mediterranean, World Bank, BERS. The italian delegation leader, Giulia Maci, coordinated the group of the experts composed by:

The appointed experts, have been selected across the country from several companies and high profile institutions such as ENEA, CNR, Augentes and Erica Coop.

The Italian project, “Circular economy for food: partnership for sustainable coastal cities in the western Mediterranean”, had integrated France, Tunisia, Malta, Algeria as partners in order to embrace the spirit of collaboration launched by the President Macron, in order to claim a sustainable development, socially fair and environmentally respectful framework in the Mediterranean area.
